I created a calendar in Google. The calendar would be useful for me personally but I do not have a need to share it with anyone at this time.
Google Docs is useful and is currently being used to post our Sunday schedules. Supervisors are given access to go in and make changes to the schedules as needed. I can see how Google Docs will be useful to me personally.

Google #85 Resistance is Futile
I regularly use Google Images, Google Earth and YouTube. Google Images is invaluable for searching out pictues of people, places and things that I cannot always find in our books.
I have actually taken a tour down the streets of my hometown on Google Earth.
YouTube never disappoints when a song comes to mind.
As for the new products, the Public Data Explorer would be useful for doing research.
Search the Google books: It has the classics I was looking for with the added value of free downloads. I was amazed at the size of their collection with 107,600 in the social science category and 992,600 law books. Google books could be an alternative when we do not have the books on the shelf and our online copies are all in use.
I searched for a title that was interlibrary loan requested this morning and they have that book. The title of the book: Winemaker's Daughter.

You Oughta Be In Pictures #89

For this first exercise I chose a picture of my son and his shipmates enjoying Christmas while sailing the beautiful Persian Gulf. They were issued an invitation by the Taliban that they just could not refuse.
I cropped the picture and added a border and caption. Was it 2002 or was it 2001? I may have to go back to Picnik to change that date.
I looked at Photoshop and Fotoflexer but decided to use Picnik. They all offered the tools I would use most--the cropping, framing and captioning tools.

My training credits being at a mere 5, I have decided to tackle the iHCPL sound exercises.

Posting to S Drive
I did post a file to the S drive. I just wrote a small note about saving to the drive and then saved it. I closed my file, went back to the S drive and deleted the file. Felt kind of silly but I did it.
I went into the P drive, Volunteers, CSRP Volunteers, and deleted documents that are no longer used. The CSRP folder is now up-to-date.

I cleaned out my email Inbox today and then turned my attention to cleaning out the individual folders. Some deleted messages were from 2005--probably information so old that it has been updated several times.
I plan to revisit these folders more often. I probably let it ride as my quota usage before the purge was somewhere around 10.5% and it is now down to 8.6%. I have always been attentive to keeping my Inbox cleaned out.

Remember the Milk
Yes, I did sign up for Remember the Milk. I have made three enties, including one reminder for tax season 2009.
My new "milk" method should serve me better than my present practice of leaving sticky notes affixed to the inside of my front door.
